Injection is the act of putting a drug into a person’s body using a needle and a syringe. Injections are among the most common health care procedures, with at least 16 billion administered in developing and transitional countries each year.

This course will demonstrate and describe the safe administration of medication by injection (subcutaneous, intradermal, intramuscular) and will demonstrate the guidelines for administering medication injections in a clinical setting. This course is intended for use by nursing and medical professionals, and those in training for those professions.
